Tips to systematize and automate for efficiency
Self Audit of your activities – Do an audit of the time it takes to do things that you do on a repetitive basis – consider ways this could become simplified and ultimately automated. Might it require hiring a virtual assistant (VA) or getting a more robust CRM (Customer Relationship Management). Start with simple pen and paper to organize your thoughts before using spreadsheets, but remember that success is based on what works best for you.
Brain/Mind Map – Put all your ideas in a centralized place where you can refer to them and organize them. This can also be referred to a brain dumping. One tool that facilitates this is Miro.com. You can also use a whiteboard or other similar tool. The key is to create a system that allows you to capture your thoughts and turn them into action steps. You can create special folders in Google Drive or on your laptop to organize your information.
Pause to Regroup – Take the time let information sink in by creating a pause after each activity to capture the essence of what is important. This prevents details from falling through the cracks and from having information pile up that is not being processed and applied. Getting into the habit of regrouping is exactly one of the key goals of the Super Charge Mastermind Retreat.
Tips to Increase Engagement in Facebook Groups as a System for Automation
Welcome – Provide a clear welcome to your new group members that could include a “welcome video” post that gives an overview of the benefits of being part of your Facebook Group.
Follow up – Reach out to new group members of your group and connect with them personally via Facebook Messenger and reinforce the benefits of being in the Facebook Group.
Provide Instructions – Make it clear to your group how to navigate the group and where to find things and what you want them to do. This is not just about rules, but also about how people can maximize the experience and engage with others. The instructions should include turning on notifications so that they can receive notices of your posts.
Tag Members – When you write certain posts in your Facebook Group, tag members to make sure they get to see the post. This technique should be used carefully and not overdone. But when used appropriately it can be quite effective.
Consistency – Be consistent in posting in your group to create engagement and interest. When people expect you to show up, they will be ready to receive what you are providing and look forward to it as well.
Your Offer – Last but most definitely not least is have something to offer for sale. What do you want them to ultimately do that will benefit them and make a difference for them? What product or service do you offer that will solve a problem or pain point for your group members?
Bonus Tip: Time Management – Set a timer to be aware of the time you are spending in each group that you may be a member of and be intentional about your activity and the use of your time to be mindful of the returns that you expect for your efforts. The most important time management tip is to learn how to say “No”.
